TT Games’ Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is looking to be a jam packed new entry for the caped crusader.
Lego Batman is making a highly anticipated return! At this year’s Gamescom, one announcement in particular caught my attention: the reveal of Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight.
I have my own personal history with TT Games and the Lego games they produce, and I’ll be honest, I could take them or leave them. But something about this release has really piqued my interest.

This Batman game begins with Bruce’s early journey, as he trains his combat style and returns to Gotham to build his legend. The trailer highlights references to major Batman adaptations, including Tim Burton’s 1989 film, Nolan’s trilogy, DC’s recent Batfleck and Pattinson takes, as well as the animated series and extensive comics history.
I think the only thing we were missing was an Adam West-era Batman, but Lego Batman 3 (2014) has you covered there.

The second thing I noticed was that TT Games may have also borrowed some of Rocksteady’s notes. It seems they might be incorporating the Arkham-style combat and gadgets, as the trailer showcases detective vision and “Bats” blowing up walls with explosive gel.

TT Games really showed that they are truly fans of what they build with their revisit to Star Wars with the Skywalker saga. It’s piqued my interest, and I’m actually looking forward to seeing what secrets and fan nods they tuck away in what I’m expecting to be a massive game.
Also, Matt Berry is playing Bane, ‘nuff said.
Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will be released in 2026 on all major platforms
