With the success of our last anthology, An Adventurer’s Guide To Love, Life & Villainy, under our belts, we decided it was time for another. Once again, we are opening our doors to the TYG community and all the writers, and asking them to submit their stories for our next witchy production.
A Witch’s Guide To Brooms, Swoons & Sorcery

This time we are changing the theme, featuring stories of magic and sorcery. We are looking for short stories with tension and romance, adventure and drama, and all things witchy. So, get writing, and submit your stories for a chance to be included.
Brief
We are pretty flexible when it comes to theme and message, but we do have some submission guidelines.
Word Count: 3k – 8k words
Language: Mild-adult allowed
Spice: Allowed, but not too graphic
Deadline: September 30th 2025
Short Form and Poetry: We have been asked and are willing to consider these on a limited basis provided they fit the theme
Submit your entries to [email protected] and you will receive a message to let you know your submission has been accepted. If you’re unsure or nervous, please feel free to reach out and our team will support you how we can.

Accepted Submissions
Accepted submissions will be taken through a round of critiques and edits before the final project is released, taking some of the pressure off our fresher writers. This is a team venture and everyone is welcomed to participate, regardless of experience.
As this is a community project, authors of accepted submissions will receive £20 and both a PDF and a printed copy of the final product. Writers will then be featured on our Publishing website alongside our previous authors.
Release
We hope to release a pre-order for this project in October 2025, but will always prioritise quality over an early release. So keep your eyes peeled for an announcement!
Future Projects!
Having tackled the adventuring world and now witches, Treat Your Geek will be looking to do more anthologies in the future. These include a sci-fi/space theme and vampires. If witches aren’t your thing, be sure to stick around for these projects coming in the future.
You can find links to all of our publishing projects on the TYG Publishing website.
