How To Join TYG

Treat Your Geek is the home of many incredible like-minded content creators. We have an incredibly diverse crew and there is room for everyone, but there are steps to getting involved and being recognised as a true collaborator.

Can Anyone Join?

Yes, everyone is welcome.

You can become a member of the Treat Your Geek Community today by following all of our social media pages and joining our discord server. So long as you are kind and follow our community code of conduct, you will find yourself welcomed and encouraged to get involved.

You can find all of our links here.

Reviews & Articles

If you are interested in writing articles and reviews for TYG you can send us an email showing your interest to [email protected].

We have several rules for writing articles including no use of Gen-AI texts, no adult language and no spoilers. Authors will be given a log in to our website portal so that they may support our editorial staff in adding images and filling out alt-texts for their articles.

Some game codes are provided by Treat Your Geek for the purposes of review. The restrictions of each game are explained to the reviewer when the code is handed over.

Becoming A Collaborator

We don’t allow just anyone on our livestreams. Most people jumping in on our streams are content creators from within the community. They are people who we have met and worked with on Twitch and YouTube who we trust to uphold the standards set by Treat Your Geek and given the Collaborator role on our community server.

If you are interested in getting involved, the best way is to say hello in chat, leave comments on our content, and by joining our community discord server.

Become A Member Of The Stream Team

The honour of joining the Treat Your Geek stream team is reserved solely for people who are involved in the creation of our content. We don’t give this out based on follower/view count or clout, it is based purely on what they contribute to the community.

Compensation

Contributing to Treat Your Geek is largely voluntary, but everyone’s contributions are counted whenever they are a streamer or not. All of the income from TYG is used to fund things for future projects such as art for overlays, TTRPG projects and editing software.
